The City of Waverly enforces minimum building code standards as adopted with exceptions in City Code Zoning Section 90.  The City contracts with the Bremer County Building Inspections office for the building inspection and enforcement requirements of building construction in Waverly city limits.

Permits, accompanying plot plans, and construction drawings and fees, are submitted to the Bremer County Building, Zoning & Sanitation Department for all permits that need construction review.
