Book Club @ Get Roasted:
June 3rd, July 8th, and 22nd 10-11 AM
Grab a coffee or treat from Get Roasted (on us!) and discuss Dry by Neal Shusterman. Get your own free copy of the book to keep! Registration required.
Float and Read @ 3 Rivers Park:
June 4th 2-3 PM | 3 River Park
The Bremer County Conservationists will bring the boats -- you bring the books! Read in the boat or sit and observe. Sack supper will be provided.
Bonfire Kickoff @ WPL:
7-8:30 PM | Library Garden
Are you ready for the summer? Are you ready for the good times? We're kicking off the summer reading program with a bonfire, and you know the s'mores will be flowing. We'll have yard games out, music bumping, and the good times rolling!
Yoga in the Garden:
June 8th 10-10:45 AM
Join us at the Library’s garden for a beginner yoga class! Jacqeline Jeffcoat Schedtler (Mrs. JS) will lead you through the basics of yoga and get your summer started off right!
Pokémon Club:
Mondays 5-7 PM | Teen Room
Pokémon Club continues to meet through the summer! Participants will earn chances to win prizes at the end of the summer simply by attending. On June 22nd, we'll host a tournament for those aged 18 and under. Prizes for tournament participants will be handed out. Raffle prizes for Pokemon Club will be drawn on July 20th. All ages welcome!
Magic Monday:
Mondays 6-8PM | Waverly Room
The Magic is in the Gathering! Join us to play the popular card game Magic: the Gathering. Bring your own deck or borrow one. Prizes will be given throughout the summer!
Waverly Art Center Craft Along:
Tuesdays 1-3 PM | Waverly Room
Nature-themed crafts galore, led by artists from the Waverly Art Center! Open to those who completed 5th-12th grade this school year. Registration required for each individual class.

Craft for a Cause:
All Day Wednesdays | Teen Room
Stop by the teen room for a passive craft with a purpose! Make cat toys, make a card for a nursing home resident, write a letter to a service person, and more!
Smash Bros 1v1 Tourney @ Wartburg | Rada-Aleff Classroom Technology Center:

Join us at Wartburg's state of the art e-sports room (found in Rada-Aleff Classroom Technology Center) for our annual Summer Super Smash Bros Tournament!
D&D Campaign:
Thursday Afternoons | Study Room 4
Whether you've been a D&D player for a day or years, sign up to take part in a three week campaign! Sign up for ONE OF either Group A, B, OR C. Registration required. If you have your own dice, please bring them along: otherwise, there will be dice to borrow. Session one will include character creation, but feel free to come with your own level 3 character!
Herb Plant Starters:
June 15th 10-Noon | Waverly Room
Start your own mint or basil plant by learning how to propagate a new plant. Decorate your pot to make it your own! Drop in any time between 10 and noon.
Cold Case Mystery:
June 16th 3-5 PM | Bremer Room
Can you crack the case? Race to make it through an unsolved case file to see if you can uncover the culprit! Snacks provided!
Nerf Night:
June 17th 6-8:30 PM | Waverly Public Library
Grab your Nerf equipment and make your way to the library for this after-hours program! If you don't have equipment, the library does have some available: first come, first served. Two sessions of Nerf Night will be offered: those who finished 5th-8th from 6-7p, 9-12th from 7-8:30p.
The Slow Down:
Mondays Starting June 22nd 10-11:30 | Teen Room
Join us in the teen room to reset and recharge. We'll kick things off with a quick, low-stakes game, then settle in for a dedicated hour of lo-fi beats and reading. It's a tech-free zone designed for maximum chill—bring your own book or grab one of ours.

Wood Burning With BC Naturalists:
June 24th 1-2 PM | WPL’s Garden
Come create art by burning designs into wood with the Bremer County Naturalists.
Intergenerational Card Club:
Thursday July 9th, 16th, and 23rd 2:00 PM | Eisenach Village Klubhaus
For those in elementary and middle school to play and learn card games like euchre, hearts, & 500 alongside residents of Eisenach Village. No previous experience required.
Lucky Penny Kitties Outdoor Event:
July 22nd 3:30-5:30 PM | North Patio at Waverly Public Library
Lucky Penny Kitties is a local non-profit that fosters and rehomes cats in the Cedar Valley. Join us for snacks, music, and, of course, kitties! A free-will donation will be available for Lucky Penny Kitties.
Skippy's Song Secrets: Songwriting For Teens:

Cryptid Hunt:
Cryptid Hunt is back! Mothman has arrived in Waverly…and he's on the prowl! Each week, find clues at the library to uncover where Mothman is hiding. Get the password from each location and earn a raffle ticket for the prizes!
Garden Helper:
WPL is starting a salsa garden, and we need your help! Get in touch with Trevor at the library to learn how to get involved and get your hands dirty!
Prize Information!
As you read and complete activities, you’ll earn tickets to put in our prize raffles. Book talk with Trevor to earn extra tickets (last day July 24th)! Lock-In tickets must be submitted by July 16th at 9:00AM. All other tickets must be submitted by July 27th at 9:00 AM, on which winners will be announced. Pick from the following:
