High water update - Charles City crested lower at 17.54', Janesville's expected crest lowered to 11.9' at 1:00 am on 7/11. Waverly's level is approximately 9.0' currently and is expected to crest late afternoon between 10' - 10.54' according to NOAA ensemble forecast.
The City of Waverly is continuing to monitor river conditions. One key resource we use is the National Weather Service (NWS) Water Prediction Service. This website (https://water.noaa.gov/gauges/WVLI4) shows current river levels for Waverly and predictions for locations upstream (Charles City) and downstream (Janesville) from Waverly. The National Weather Service does not predict river levels for Waverly due to the inflatable dam.
