Cedar River Park
The community of Waverly has needed updated facilities for the children to play baseball and softball on adequate fields. The City of Waverly started a citizen task force to evaluate the situation under the leadership of former Mayor Dean Soash. The group supported a decision to develop the land on the Cedar River Parkway. The newly elected Mayor Adam Hoffman has continued the vision of developing this land to support our youth ball programs. The opportunity for the city of Waverly has become a reality in building a local park to support the needs of all youth players. Our families will benefit by gathering to enjoy youth games and this added feature to our cities amenities that include an expansion of the walking and bike trail.
