Ambassador Visits - January 2017

In January, the Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors visited two new businesses in our community. 

The Ambassadors presented a Dollar Award to Dr. Larry Van Daalen for the opening of The Eye Care Center of Waverly. Dr. Van Daalen has been a huge part of the Waverly community for a number of years by being involved in a variety of service groups outside of his professional career as an Eye Doctor. These include The Waverly Lions Club, Waverly Golf Commission, and Redeemer Lutheran Church. The Eye Care Center of Waverly offers a full scope of medical eye care services including eye examinations, diagnostic and treatments, eye emergencies, and contact and frame selection and services. Zach Beschorner and Rusty Ruth, owners of S.O.S Discount Stores, were also given a Dollar Award from the Ambassador’s in congratulations for the opening of their new store located at 114 E Bremer Avenue. S.O.S Discount Stores buys truckloads of merchandise, which allows them to have huge discounts on a variety of items. These items included clothing, household appliances, make-up, vitamins, sporting goods, toys, seasonal items, office supplies, jewelry, and much, much more! “It’s Black Friday Every Day” at S.O.S. Discount Stores.  

The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program serves as a public relations arm of the Waverly Chamber by welcoming new businesses, recognizing business expansion efforts, recruiting new members to the Waverly Chamber, and by serving as a representative of the Chamber throughout the community.
