Upcoming Changes to Traffic Signals and Signage

The City of Waverly will be implementing updates to traffic control devices at several locations to improve safety and traffic flow. The changes are as follows:

Downtown Area:
The traffic signals at the intersection of 2nd Street and East Bremer Avenue will be removed. Stop signs will be installed on 2nd Street (northbound and southbound) at this intersection.

Near the Library:
The traffic signal at the intersection of 15th Street NW and West Bremer Avenue will be removed. A stop sign will be installed on 15th Street NW.

Northwest Waverly:
The stop sign on 20th Street NW near the West Bremer Avenue entrance ramp will be removed. A yield sign will be installed for vehicles entering 20th Street NW from the entrance ramp.

The traffic signal at the intersection of 20th Street NW and 3rd Avenue NW will be removed.  Stop signs will be installed on 3rd Avenue at this intersection.  (See diagram below for reference.)

These traffic signal and signage changes are scheduled to take place during the last week of July.

The City urges all motorists and pedestrians to remain alert and exercise extra caution while adjusting to these changes.
