Waverly, IA – The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recently held one ribbon cutting in Waverly, presenting three existing businesses with Progress Awards.

The Ambassadors met with owner Dustin Newhoff and presented him with a Progress Award to celebrate the completion of the Wausau Homes Design Center, located at 207 W Bremer Ave. The new design center provides a dedicated space for homeowners to explore floor plans, finishes, and design options while working closely with the Wausau Homes team to bring their custom home visions to life. This investment reflects Wausau Homes’ commitment to quality craftsmanship, personalized service, and an enhanced building experience. The completed design center further strengthens Wausau Homes’ presence in Waverly and supports continued growth within the local construction and housing market.

The Ambassadors met with general manager Camryn Ellison and presented her with a Progress Award to celebrate the reopening of the Waverly Palace Theater, located at 90 E Bremer Ave. Reopening at the end of 2025, the Palace Theatre marks the return of a cherished downtown movie theater for residents and visitors alike. The completion of this project reflects a strong commitment to preserving a historic space while enhancing the local moviegoing experience. Under this new leadership, the Palace Theatre is once again positioned to provide a welcoming, high-quality cinema option that contributes to downtown vitality and community enjoyment.

The Ambassadors met with chief outpatient services officer Joni Poppe and staff to hold a ribbon cutting and Progress Award presentation celebrating the completion of renovations that allow them to bring nuclear medicine into the Waverly Health Center facility. Previously provided through a mobile unit that visited the hospital multiple times each month, the addition of on-site nuclear medicine represents a significant enhancement to patient care and convenience. The remodeled space reflects Waverly Health Center’s continued investment in advanced technology, accessibility, and high-quality healthcare. This improvement strengthens the hospital’s ability to serve patients locally while expanding the range of diagnostic services available to the community.

The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Program serves as a public relations arm of the Waverly Chamber by welcoming new businesses, recognizing business expansion efforts, and recruiting new members to the organization.
