Waverly, IA – The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors recently held one ribbon cutting in Waverly, presenting three existing businesses with Progress Awards.

The Ambassadors met with owner Troy Carolus and presented him with a Progress Award to celebrate the new location of Dale’s Service, located at 3000 5th Avenue NW. The relocation marks an important milestone for the business, providing an updated space that supports continued growth and improved service for customers. Dale’s Service is well known for its reliable automotive repair and towing services, and the new location allows the team to operate more efficiently while continuing to meet the needs of motorists throughout the community. This move reflects their ongoing commitment to quality service and dependable support for Waverly and the surrounding area.

The Ambassadors met with store manager John Pentecost and meat department manager Brian Dirksen and presented them with a Progress Award in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Waverly Fareway, located at 222 W Bremer Ave. For seventy years, Fareway has been a trusted local grocery destination providing quality products, friendly service, and a strong commitment to customer care. This milestone reflects the lasting relationships Fareway has built with generations of Waverly families and its continued dedication to meeting the needs of the community. The anniversary celebration honors both the history of the store and its ongoing role as a valued part of Waverly’s business community.

The Ambassadors met with members of the Waverly Rotary Club and Northeast Iowa Community Action and presented them with a Progress Award to recognize the Rotary Club’s assistance with the recent renovation and relocation of NEICA Waverly Food Pantry and Family Services to its new location at 1805 Horton Road. The updated space allows Northeast Iowa Community Action to continue providing essential services, including food assistance, family support programs, and resources that help individuals and families meet basic needs and achieve greater stability. The Waverly Rotary Club’s involvement reflects its ongoing commitment as a service organization dedicated to improving the quality of life in the community. This collaboration highlights the positive impact that local partnerships and volunteer-driven efforts have in supporting Waverly residents.
