Water Pollution Control (WPC) facility improvements have been completed!  The improvements were prompted by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Nutrient Reduction Strategy requirements. 

Planning for the project began in 2018, and construction began in summer of 2021.   Improvements included the construction of an oxidation ditch and building a second biosolids (sludge) storage tank.  These improvements will meet state & federal regulations & meet the needs of our steadily growing population & continue to serve the community for decades to come.

Plan to attend our open house on Thursday, October 10th from 4pm to 6pm to see the improvements & learn more about the wastewater treatment process.  WPC is located at 1401 8th Street SE – use the same entrance as the Waverly Dog Park and continue up the hill.
