Leisure Services Now Hiring Seasonal Positions

The City of Waverly Leisure Services Department is currently accepting applications for seasonal employees. Positions include 7-month and 3-month Maintenance positions with Parks, Cemetery, Vegetation Management, and Golf Course for mowing, weed eating, and general maintenance work. Employment starts at $9.50 per hour for 7-month positions and $9.00 per hour for 3-month positions.

Some duties include:
*Flower watering and care
*Beautification of the downtown area
*Trimming
*Painting
*Playground maintenance
*Ball diamond maintenance
*General Park and Golf Course maintenance
*Mowing
*Weed eating

The Waverly Municipal Golf Course is specifically in need of an individual available to work 40 hours per week and an additional person available 3 days per week, approximately 15 hours to mow tees.

The Golf Course Pro Shop is looking for customer service minded individuals for the 2021 golf season running March-November. Responsibilities include taking tee times, collecting money, tournament operation, with an emphasis on customer service. A golf background or knowledge of the game would be helpful but is not required. Positions are available for Pro Shop and Cart Attendants.

Positions also available for Swimming Pool Lifeguards, Cashiers and Managers.
