Help keep Waverly's storm drains from plugging by blowing the grass from your mower towards your yard and not the street with your first mowing pass along your curb. By doing this, grass does not get washed into the grate.
During a heavy rain event, the grass clippings prevent the water from draining away, causing the street to flood. Oftentimes City employees are then called in to clear clogged storm drains so the water can drain away.
