Waverly, IA – The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors attended two ribbon cuttings in March and presented two established businesses with Progress Awards.
Hearing Unlimited, formerly in Waverly Health Center, recently changed its name to NewSound Hearing Centers and relocated to a modern, state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment center at 2401 Fourth Street Southwest in Waverly. “This move to our new location has afforded us new diagnostic equipment and treatment systems to provide a higher level of care — this is a major advantage for our county’s citizens,” said Clinic Director Annette Redman, doctor of audiology.
The practice sees adults for treatment of all types of hearing problems. Services include hearing evaluations, video otoscopy for ear canal examinations, hearing aid sales, hearing aid fitting and programming, tinnitus (ringing in the ears) evaluations, verification of benefit procedures, fitting of hearing protection, aural rehabilitation and hearing aid repairs.
The Ambassadors also attended a ribbon cutting at the new physical therapy clinic, Athletico. Athletico Waverly is conveniently located in the strip mall next to Hy-Vee and Miller True Value. They offer a variety of physical therapy, rehabilitation and work comp services to help patients get back to doing what they love to do. As part of their commitment to patient care, the clinic offers convenient hours, including early mornings and evenings.

Root, located at 100 E Bremer Ave., was awarded a Progress Award for their recent hiring of Marketing Director, Haylee Westendorf. Westendorf is a Waverly native who found her way back to her hometown after college at Valparaiso University in Indiana. She joined the Root team in May 2018 and leads the company’s overall marketing strategy, including social media, web design, email, PR, print & events. “Our small team does BIG things every day, and as Marketing Director I love being able to be a part of it all - from product development with Krista, behind the scenes web work, to front line customer service, I love seeing & impacting it all! It’s incredible to see what you do every day actually make an impact on the company’s overall bottom line and make an impact on women across the globe,” said Westendorf.

The Butcher Block was presented with a Progress Award for their recent relocation to a larger building at 106 West Bremer.
