Long Range Plan
The Waverly Public Library has developed a five year long range plan to provide direction and set goals to better fulfill the library's mission, which is to grow young readers and offer a comfortable place for all people to explore ideas and spark imagination.

By July of 2019, at least one Waverly Public Library program/librarian will reach every Waverly-area child, encouraging reading as an exciting way to learn and to be inspired.
Birth to Age 5: The Library will offer programs and services designed to broaden the experiences and vocabularies of young children, which will pave the way for reading in school.
Kindergarten through 4th grade: The Library will offer programs and services for elementary and middle school children that will support the reading skills they are acquiring in school and will keep kids excited about reading.
Middle School Children and Teens: The Library will offer programs and collections that will keep kids coming to the library for information that they need for research and for self-directed reading, listening and viewing.
By July of 2019, the Waverly Public Library will enhance the collection, programming and staff in order to introduce more people to the opportunities available for everyone through the library.
Collection: Continue to develop a diverse collection of library materials.
Programs: Provide programming for adults which encourages continuous learning, and promotes a community with which to interact and share ideas.
