WAVERLY POLICE DEPARTMENT JOINS NHTSA AND OTHER GROUPS IN PROMOTING MOTORCYCLE SAFETY IN WAVERLY!

Springtime is upon us and there are new traffic hazards and safety concerns to think about the changing of the seasons such as:

New Year’s Eve is a big night for celebrations and your safety is our number one priority. The Waverly Police Department wants everyone to celebrate the New Year but please celebrate responsibly. Here are a few tips to help keep the night fun and safe for everyone who is out.

On December 20th a Waverly resident reported a possible scam.  A male subject who identified himself as Mr. Lopez, an employee with Publisher's Clearinghouse, called to inform them they had won a new car as well as a cash prize and were going to deliver the vehicle and cash.  The resident was alerted to the scam due to the inclimate weather and questioned the subject further.
