Ambassador Visits

In May the Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors visited two businesses in our community.

The Ambassadors had a ribbon cutting ceremony for Sitting Horse Stables located at 2379 Fairview Ave.  New Owner, Don Schmidt has grown up with horses and is now fulfilling his life-long dream of owning a stable. This impressive facility has a capacity of boarding 25 to 30 horses, with 10 indoor stalls complete with electricity and an indoor wash bay.  The facility has large indoor and outdoor riding arenas and borders Babcock woods, an 80 acre county park with prairie trails. Don hopes to host and put on horse shows, camps, and riding lessons and open the facility up for people to trailer in their horse for use in the arena.  “I believe that Waverly needs this facility, and look forward to this opportunity that I have been given.” says Don.

The Ambassadors presented a Dollar Award to Noel Fry State Farm, located at 1231 4th St. SW. Fry is a former Navy Petty Officer and after his time in the military started working in the insurance industry.  After 6 years of insurance experience Fry decided it was time to open up his own State Farm office.  Fry and his family are excited to be active members in the community, both personally and professionally.  He prides himself on getting to know his customers and their needs in order to provide them with the best insurance to help protect their assets and safeguard their income. Whether it is Auto, Home, Renters, Business, Life or Health insurance, Noel Fry State Farm will be able to help you!

The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program serves as a public relations arm of the Waverly Chamber by welcoming new businesses, recognizing business expansion efforts, recruiting new members to the Waverly Chamber, and by serving as a representative of the Chamber throughout the community.
