In February, the Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors visited three businesses in our community to award Progress Awards.
The Ambassadors presented the Progress Award to BeMobile for the hiring of a new store leader, Nancy Eckheart. Eckheart comes from New Hampton, Iowa and brings with her a balance of hard work and knowledge of the technology field. BeMobile’s Waverly location is one of the newest additions to the BeMobile family, opening its doors in 2013. Available to the business district and residential users, BeMobile has the devices and services necessary to help fuel the community. Atasha Redies, Tony Bartels, and Tucker Lee, the friendly staff at BeMobile, are here to assist with your Verizon needs. BeMobile’s strives to serve their customers by being experts at solving communication and connectivity needs.
Gary and Kathiee Phillips, Managers of Super 8 - Waverly, were also given the Progress Award from the Ambassadors for their recent updates and renovations to their facilities. These include; new paint, furniture, mattresses, headboards, in-room art, refrigerators, microwaves, bathtubs, sinks, and switching all lamps and lighting to LED. The Managers and Staff of the Super 8 – Waverly are proud of their ongoing program to refresh and refurbish the property. Their guests, whether in town for a Wartburg event, a wedding, the semi-annual Waverly Horse Sale or any other reason, are worthy and deserving the best we have to offer. From starting the day with our 8+ item “Superstart” breakfast to the concierge style service of the Front Desk personnel, they hope you’ll come make memories of your visit to Waverly at the Super 8!
The Ambassadors also presented the Comfort Inn – Waverly the Progress Award for their updates and renovations to their facilities. All rooms are newly renovated with the latest franchise artwork and bedding program, there is a newly built elevator, the entire building is 100% non-smoking and participating in the green program, and now offers hot items in addition to the breakfast continental items. Comfort Inn - Waverly delivers personal and professional services to our community business guests, Wartburg college parents, trusties, and athletics. They are also part of the community when it comes to volunteer work and other needs, and are proud to be located in Waverly.
The Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Program serves as a public relations arm of the Waverly Chamber by welcoming new businesses, recognizing business expansion efforts, recruiting new members to the Waverly Chamber, and by serving as a representative of the Chamber throughout the community.
