Ambassador Visits - August 2017

Waverly, IA— In August, the Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors visited four businesses in our community to present Progress Awards and a First Dollar Award.

Prairie Links Golf & Event Center was presented with a Progress Award, in recognition of their recent updates to their facility. The updates include a new outdoor bar, nano doors at the event center, a workout room and in-progress locker rooms. Future updates to the business include an outdoor event center and pool, coming in 2018. Prairie Links Golf and Event Center now has GPS capabilities on their golf carts, and is one of the first golf courses in the state to offer Golf Boards. New rates have also been included in the recent upgrades at Prairie Links Golf & Event Center, 19 Eagle Ridge Drive in Waverly. The Ambassadors presented Gusto Wine Lounge & Restaurant with its First Dollar Award. The new restaurant is also located at Prairie Links Golf and Event Center, 19 Eagle Ridge Drive in Waverly. You can visit Gusto Wine Lounge & Restaurant for lunch Wednesday-Saturday, 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, dinner Friday-Saturday from 5:00-10:00 PM and brunch on Sunday from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. The restaurant is open to the public, not just members. Gusto Wine Lounge & Restaurant has a variety of different plates on their menu, along with an extensive selection of beverage choices. The Pink Daisy, located at 97 East Bremer Avenue, was presented with a Progress Award for their recent move to a new location. The Pink Daisy is now open in a vintage-style building, which the employees thoroughly enjoy. “Amanda, Hannah and myself want to say thank you to everyone that has so warmly welcomed us to downtown Waverly,” Crystol Harms said. “What a beautiful city to be part of!” At The Pink Daisy, they carry a variety of sizes from small-3XL, which people are appreciative of. They also carry handmade jewelry and a variety of other pieces, such as purses, scarves, shoes and boots. Formally Photography by Christine, Legacy Photography by Christine and Tasha was presented a Progress Award for moving to their new location at 122 East Bremer Avenue. The mother-daughter duo is a team of professional photographers, who take a great deal of pride in working to create a lasting legacy with the images they produce for their clients. Legacy Photography by Christine and Tasha is working out of their new 4,000 square feet studio with top-of-the-line equipment and props to offer their clients an amazing and unforgettable experience.
