Starting June 1, patrons may call in to the library at (319) 352-1223 to request items to be picked up through the outdoor drive-through window or delivered by library staff. Patrons must call one business day prior to their desired pick up day to request items. The drive-through window will be open for pick up of these prearranged orders Monday through Friday, 9 AM-5 PM. Delivery is available for anyone who cannot make it to the library during these hours and anyone who does not feel safe leaving their home for any reason. Delivery times will be arranged with staff.
The outdoor return drops are now open. Items coming back are put into a quarantine system. All due dates have been extended to July 1, so while we welcome back your returns at this time, if you are unable to return immediately, do not be concerned.
Dates for all services are subject to change based on significant fluctuations in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bremer County. The library building will not open at this time. However, further reopening steps are part of a phased plan that is currently in place, which takes into account the safe business practice recommendations of local, state, and national health organizations, area case numbers, and the availability of cleaning and protective supplies, many of which are currently on backorder. We are very excited to be able to get books, movies, and more out to all of you through the drive-through service, and we will stay in communication regarding any further reopening steps.
