A hands-on exhibit demonstrating the history of the book will be at the Waverly Public Library October 19 through November 13. The library is one of 12 selected this year to host the exhibit for one month. The exhibit is intended to bring to life the invention of writing, paper and books, telling the book’s story to both children and adults. The display consists of historically accurate replicas of the book throughout history.

The exhibit is the result of collaboration between the Iowa Center for the Book and the University of Iowa Center for the Book and is funded by a major grant from the Iowa Center for the Book Foundation.

Welcome to Waverly. Great schools. Diverse housing options. Robust job market. Top-flight indoor rec center. Outdoor recreation adventures of all kinds. Prestigious Wartburg College. And a safe and welcoming community of people who value the good life in a beautiful place.
