With the new tax laws, many people will no longer be able to receive the same tax benefits from their charitable giving. While tax incentives aren't the main motivation for giving, they're certainly a nice perk.

Deb Giarusso is currently an Instructor of Finance at the University of Northern Iowa and the portfolio manager of a privately held equity investment fund. Deb also serves on the Board of Directors and Investment Committee for Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA), as Board Treasurer for Self-Help International, Board member of Sartori Foundation, and Planning & Zoning Commission Member for City of Cedar Falls. Prior to this position she was a financial analyst with Oscar Mayer Foods Corporation where she performed analysis responsibilities and supported the marketing, operations and corporate functions. Deb was also a principal in a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm from 2007-2010.
