Drought Felt in Iowa Corn Yields
The 2012 corn harvest report is out and as expected, the state saw major declines in bushels per acre. Palo Alto County led the state with an average yield of just over 170. Bremer County, the state's leader last year, was down 66 bushels to a total of 133 per acre.

The year-end Economic Indicator Report shows growth in 12 of 15 categories. Bank deposits are up $66.8 million and construction surged in 4 segments.
