Dear Prospective Member:
It is an exciting time to be a member of the Waverly Chamber of Commerce. Our membership is up 24% since 2010 and our volunteer base has doubled in recent years. As we enter 2013 we celebrate a milestone of 75 years of existence in the Waverly business community. Through this achievement we are humbled by the support of our past and present members who have shaped this organization. We invite you to join us at our new member rate of $150 as we embark on a new year (Nonprofit rate $75; Home based business rate $110).
From an economic standpoint we are blessed with high occupancy and low unemployment. In 2013 the Chamber will continue to develop programs and apply for unique grant opportunities to support our members through various building incentives and expansion plans. We’ll also develop wayfinding and street signage for our city to help navigate residents and visitors to retail, service, recreational, and industrial destinations throughout Waverly. In addition, we’ll host free educational seminars and workshops for our member businesses and entrepreneurs, including business startup assistance.
We understand how important exposure is to your business. That’s why we provide all of our members with a free web site listing in addition to free listings in three major publications with a total distribution of 32,500. In addition, we work to provide unique advertising and sponsorship opportunities throughout the year, including co-op advertising opportunities for members, allowing businesses to participate in advertising that might otherwise be financially out of reach, allowing them to leverage marketing dollars in unique and meaningful ways.
Our free networking events such as our popular Waverly Connected hosted quarterly with Waverly Area Economic Development, and our Chamber After Hours events provide excellent opportunities to connect with a wide range of business leaders throughout Waverly while keeping your finger on the pulse of the business community.
As we enter 2013, we remain committed to the continuation of shaping the cultural and economic vibrancy of our community and our members. The Chamber unifies the public spirit of the city and directs it into useful and constructive channels, promoting progress through unity. Through Chamber lead cultural events like Concerts in Kohlmann, Christmas Greetings on Main, and The Art Walk, the Chamber continues to produce and promote community activities and events, attracting more visitors to our city. In addition, after years of planning and countless volunteer hours we are proud to offer a completed Waverly Visitors Center for those visiting our community.
